I am a Swede living with my family on the Central Coast of California for the last decade. My roots and inspiration are a mix of a lifelong experience of traditional Scandinavian knitting and crocheting and urban worldwide fashions and trends.
With helping hands from my teachers knitting and crochet came into my life at preschool age, in the early 70ies. In the 80ies there was a huge knitting boom in Europe when everyone was making mohair sweaters. I got hooked and have been working on projects ever since.
I worked 25 years for Drops design, with product development, design, marketing among many other things, and I also created some 300+ tutorial videos. After my transfer to California I got to create designs for Annie’s magazines. I connected with the loveliest people at Annie’s, and they got to know me and my skills. As I got more and more involved over here, in spring 2014 it was time for me to move my focus to the US yarn industry. Annie’s offered me to work with production of the TV show and also being the inhouse designer for Annie’s new Signature collection. Saying “Yes, I would love to” has never been easier.
Since then I have created 350+ designs for Annie's collection, magazines, TV-show and catalog.
