I am a Swede living with my family on the Central Coast of California. My roots and inspiration are a mix of a lifelong experience of traditional Scandinavian knitting and crocheting and urban worldwide fashions and trends.
With helping hands from my teachers knitting and crochet came into my life at preschool age, in the early 70ies. In the 80ies there was a huge knitting boom in Europe when everyone was making mohair sweaters. I got hooked and have been working on projects ever since.
I worked 25 years for Drops design, with product development, design, marketing among many other things, and I also created some 300+ tutorial videos. After my transfer to California I got to create designs for Annie’s magazines. Spring 2014 it was time for me to move my focus to the US yarn industry. Annie’s offered me to work with production of the TV show and also being the inhouse designer for Annie’s new Signature collection, and that was my full time job for almost a decade.
Spring 2023 I was offered the job as Creative Director at Jimmy Beans Wool, and I couldn't be more excited to accept their offer.
